What Edition of TopSpin 2K25 Should I Buy?

For many TopSpin 2K25 was a bit of a shock! The last official entry in the series was Top Spin 4 all the way back in 2011! Tennis and video games go hand in hand from the days of the Atari to Super Tennis on the SNES to Virtua Tennis on the Sega Dreamcast. With this game, 2K is taking their usual attention to detail approach as they attempt to give us that perfect blend of fun and realism with this game, which is essentially a reboot of the series.

For a sports game, TopSpin 2K25 actually has a few different editions and today we are looking at the different TopSpin 2K25 editions to try and figure out which one is right for you!

When Is It Out & What Is It On?

TopSpin 2K25 is scheduled for release on April 26th, 2004. The game is going to be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Surprisingly, there is no Nintendo Switch version of the game planned as of writing.

Is There A Pre-Order Bonus?

TopSpin 2K25 does have a pre-order bonus, but it is only with the Standard and Cross-Gen Editions of the game. Those who pre-order will get access to The Under the Lights Pack. Which contains alternate outfits for Roger Federer and Serena Williams the Wilson Nightfall Bundle and also Night Time Majors.

TopSpin 2K25 Standard Edition

For those who just want the base game, the TopSpin 2K25 Standard Edition is the way to go. This has an RRP of $59,99/£59,99 and is available physically and digitally. It is worth noting that you can find it for a fair bit cheaper if you get the physical version and shop around!

TopSpin 2K25 Cross-Gen Digital Bundle

Priced at $69,99 and £64,99, those who are on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but think they will upgrade in the near future may want to pay that little bit extra and get the TopSpin 2K25 Cross-Gen Digital Bundle. With this, you get the last and current gen versions of the game, but this edition is digital only.

TopSpin 2K25 Deluxe Edition

The TopSpin 2K25 Deluxe Edition is available both physically and digitally with an RRP of, $99,99,£89,99. Now that price we just gave you there is for the digital version, the physical version is actually a bit cheaper, in the UK GAME has this as an exclusive and it is priced at £79,99. This practice of digital versions being the same price or more expensive than the physical version needs to stop! With this, you get a bunch of cool stuff such as alternate costumes, virtual currency, and a MyPlayer boost.

New Wave Pack

Rookie Rise Pack

To be fair, the TopSpin 2K25 Deluxe Edition does come with a lot of extra content so we do not think the price is out of line at all here.

TopSpin 2K25 Grand Slam Edition

The final version is the TopSpin 2K25 Grand Slam Edition and this is digital only. It has a price of, $119,99/£104,99. It comes with all of the content that the Deluxe Edition does, but a bunch more! You get the Grand Slam Pack which contains even more cool stuff you can use. You also get the All Access Pass which will grant you access to the season one content that will be available post launch.

If you know for sure that you are in it for the long haul with this game, the TopSpin 2K25 Grand Slam Edition makes a lot of sense as you will be getting all of the important updates and content that will be released during the first season of the game.

What Edition of TopSpin 2K25 Should I Buy?

If you have not played a tennis game in quite some time and see this as your way back in, we would perhaps say that the TopSpin 2K25 Standard Edition is the way to go, you can always buy the season pass later if you get into the game. For those who are big tennis fans and have been waiting for a new top tier tennis game for years, you may want to spend that extra money to get the extra content that comes with the TopSpin 2K25 Deluxe Edition or the TopSpin 2K25 Grand Slam Edition. Just remember that as far as the Deluxe Edition goes, it is cheaper to buy it physically than digitally!
