We all knew that a new Assassin’s Creed was coming, but Ubisoft has now revealed that the next game in the series will be Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Releasing on November 15th, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, this is one of the most exciting looking games in the series in years!
Those who pre-order will get access to the Thrown to the Dogs mission! It is worth noting that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on Ubisoft Plus Premium on day one.
As is the case with most Ubisoft games, there are different additions of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and we are looking at them all so you can have a better idea of which one is right for you.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Standard Edition
If you just want the base version of the game the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Standard Edition is the way to go. Available digitally on all three platforms and physically on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. This has an RRP of $69,99/£59,99. However, the physical edition in the UK is currently listed on GAME for £62,99. If you pre-order before the November 15th release date, you will get the mission, Thrown to the Dogs. For people in the USA, if you pre-order the game from Best Buy, you will get a cool lithograph. Target on the other hand is offering a steelbook case.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Special Edition
For those looking for a little bit more, you can get the Assassin’s Creed Special Edition. This has an RRP of $69,99/£64,99. In the USA, the Assassin’s Creed Special Edition is exclusive to Walmart and in the UK, retailer GAME has this as an exclusive. With this edition of the game, you get the base game and the Sekiryu Character Pack which comes with gear and weapon sets for Yasuke which are the Sekiryu Beast, and Dragon Tooth trinket

The Assassin’s Creed Shadows Limited Edition is exclusive to Amazon and has an RRP of $69,99 As of writing, there is no UK version up for pre-order, but it is safe to assume that there will be one as Amazon tends to have an exclusive of most Ubisoft games so if you are in the UK, be patient, we are sure it will be listed sooner than later. With this you get the base game, the Thrown to the Dogs mission if you pre-order, and the Naoe Sekiryu Character Pack which contains an outfit, weapon, Sekiryu Beast, and trinket

Is it even a Ubisoft game if there is not a gold edition? The Assassin’s Creed Gold Edition is for those of you who want to ensure you have the season pass right from the start. The Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gold Edition is available digitally on all three platforms and physically on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Digitally, this is priced at $109,99/£94,99. In the UK the physical Gold Edition is a bit cheaper with retailer GAME having it listed for £89,99. This comes with the season pass, which includes a quest on launch day. You also get three days of early access if you purchase the game before the November 15th release date.

The digital only Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s Ultimate Edition comes with a whole bunch of cool stuff. You get the season pass, the Thrown to the Dogs Mission, three days of early access, and the Ultimate Pack. The Ultimate Pack contains the Sekiryu Character Pack, Sekiryu Hideout Pack, 5 skill points, and a red dragon photo filter. This is priced at $129,99/£114,99.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition
Exclusive to GameStop in the USA and GAME in the UK, the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition is truly epic! It does have a rather hefty price of $279,99/£239,99. With this, you get all of the content that comes in all the other versions of the game. You get so much cool physical stuff with this! The main event is that 40 cm tall Naoe and Yasuke statue that looks incredible! There is also a creed wall scroll, an art book that has a hardcover a set of lithographs, a world map a life-sized replica of Naoe’s Katana Tsuba, and an exclusive steel book case. Ubisoft has well and truly gone all out for this collector’s edition and that is saying something as this is a company that has made some spectacular editions in the past.

Which Edition Of Assassin’s Creed Shadows Should I Buy?
If you just want the base game, you are actually better off going for either the Limited or Special Edition as for the same price (or even a little cheaper) you are getting more bang for your buck. If you are a fan of the series and know you will want the season pass, you may as well go for the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gold or Ultimate Edition. Now, we know that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition is expensive, but to be fair, you are getting a whole bunch of cool physical items here. Also, this is listed as being one per customer so that does make us wonder if this is going to be quite limited with how many are produced.
