What Edition of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster should I buy?

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has officially been confirmed by Capcom! Dead Rising 4 was a bit of a let down so fans are very excited to once again get the chance to play as Frank West as he hacks and slashes his way through the shopping mall. With improved gameplay, better visuals, and way more lines of dialogue. This takes what was a great game and modernizes it. Scheduled for release on September 18th, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is only available digitally. However, Capcom did announce that a physical version is scheduled for later in the year with November being the target.

There are a couple of versions of the game to pick from and that is why we are looking at them both so you know what edition of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is best for you.

Is There A Pre-Order Bonus?

Capcom has really gone all out with the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster pre-order bonuses. You get three different packs with each one containing a costume and a BGM.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Pre-Order Pack 1

Costume: Frank West 2006

BGM: Dreams of Yore (Mall Music 2 Arranged)

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Pre-Order Pack 2

Costume: Chuck Green Dead Rising 2

BGM: Super Shopper Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Pre-Order Pack 3

Costume: Willamette Parkview Mall Bee

BGM: Happy Flight (Mall Music 6 Arranged)

Honestly, as far as pre-order DLC goes, this is some awesome stuff and if you are a fan of the first two Dead Rising games, we feel making the effort to pre-order the game before that September 18th release date is well worth it.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Standard Edition

With an RRP of $49,99/$39,99, the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Standard Edition is the way to go if you just want to experience the game and do not care about any of the DLC. Please keep in mind that this is digital only for a few months so if you know for sure you want to add this to your game collection physically, you are better off waiting until that physical edition of the game comes out.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe Edition

Has there been an edition of a game that was more of a mouthful than Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe Edition? With a price of $59,99/£49,99. The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe Edition comes with a bunch of extra skins and BGMs that you can rock out to. What is neat about this is that Capcom is embracing their library of characters as the skins are based on some of their most popular franchises with skins for the likes of Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil, Ken from Street Fighter, and Tron Bonne from the Mega Man series!

Willamette Parkview Mall Costumes & BGM Pack

Resident Evil Heroes Costumes & BGM Pack

Resident Evil Villains Costumes & BGM Pack

Mega Man Costumes & BGM Pack

Capcom Fighters Costumes & BGM Pack

In total, you are getting 17 extra costumes and 17 new BGM tracks. We feel that for an extra ten bucks/pounds, this is not a bad deal at all, especially if you are a huge fan of Capcom’s other franchises.

What Edition of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Should I Buy?

If you are new to the franchise, you may want to just go for the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Standard Edition. However, if you are a fan of the other Capcom franchises, we feel that the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe Edition is more than fairly priced. We would recommend pre-ordering to make sure you get that sweet DLC. Also, remember the game is coming out physically, so waiting for that version may be something you want to consider.
