What Edition Of WWE 2K24 Should I Buy?

2K have really turned their WWE series around after the horrendous WWE 2K20. WWE 2K22 was a big step up and WWE 2K23 was a solid and fun wrestling game. Building upon that is WWE 2K24 which is being released to not just be the annual WWE game, but also as part of the celebration for WrestleMania 40. 

As you would expect, there are different editions of WWE 2K24, and today we are looking at what each one offers so you can have a better idea of which is the right one for you. 

When Is It Out & What Is It On?

WWE 2K24 is scheduled for release on March 8^th, 2024. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. 

Is There A Pre-Order Bonus?

Hey, we would have been more shocked if there was not one! Wrestling fans will get a huge kick out of the Nightmare Family Pack which is pretty awesome. You get four characters, two of which are different versions of Cody Rhodes. With one being Stardust and the other Dashing Cody Rhodes. 

You also get a 1976 Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham. Some MyFACTION content is also included. Dusty Rhodes 76 MyFACTION Card, Mattel Bruised Cody Rhodes Playable Character & MyFACTION Card and there is even some love for Cody’s dog, Pharoh who also gets a manager MyFACTION Card!

WWE 2K24 Standard Edition

Available both physically and digitally, the WWE 2K34 Standard Edition gets you the base version of the game. It has an RRP of $59,99/£59,99 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. It is priced at $69,99/£64,99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series WWE 2K24 Standard Editions are only available physically. 

WWE 2K24 Cross Gen Bundle

The WWE 2K24 Cross Gen Bundle is what you will buy if you want the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series version of the game digitally. This is priced at $69,99/£64,99 and with this, you get the current gen and last gen version of the game. 

WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition

The WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition is available digitally and physically. Digitally it has a $99,99/£89,99 asking price. However, if you want the WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition physically, you may want to shop around, in the UK for example this is a GAME exclusive and is actually priced £10 cheaper than it is digitally as it costs £79,99. You get some neat stuff, most notably the season pass.

WWE 2K24 Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition

The WWE 2K24 Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition is the most expensive version priced at $119,99/£104,99. This is digital only and comes with everything you get with the WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition as well as some awesome extras that celebrate the rich history of the biggest show in WWE history, WrestleMania.

Some of the extra costumes here are cool, but for such a hefty price increase, we do feel that they could have included more classic attires that were missed in the Showcase Mode. 

What Edition Of WWE 2K24 Should I Buy?

If you are a huge WWE fan and love the annual WWE game and want to play as many wrestlers as possible, the WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition is the way to go as it gives you all of the DLC packs which will give you new wrestlers to play as throughout the year and the asking price is actually quite fair. While the idea of the WWE 2K24 Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition is awesome, we cannot help but feel it should come with more extras for the asking price. 

We are very excited for this year’s WWE game, playing as all our current favorites is great. However, getting to relive some of these iconic matches from WrestleMania’s past is going to be even more awesome than it was in WWE 2K14!
